Royaltec Paints

Repainting Services

A repaint is decided by the coating already on the wall. We test what is stuck, remove what is not, and price the preparation you actually need instead of one blanket allowance.

Where it is used

Existing homes, apartments, offices and commercial buildings.

Most repaint quotes fail in the same place: they price the paint and guess the preparation. A wall with a sound ten-year-old coat and a wall shedding flakes take the same litres of emulsion and completely different labour. Only one of them holds.

So the inspection starts with adhesion, not colour. We tape-test and scrape suspect areas to find where the existing film still grips, mark the patches that have to come off, and separate hairline settlement cracks from moving cracks that will reopen through fresh paint.

Which Royaltec system goes over an existing coat?

Where the old film is sound, the build-up is short: spot-fill with Royaltec Crack Filler, level with Royaltec Wall Putty only where the surface needs it, then Acrylic Multi-Purpose Cement Primer and the emulsion. Acrylic Economic Emulsion suits bedrooms and low-traffic rooms. Signature Acrylic Emulsion is worth the difference in passages, kitchens and rented property, because the silicone fortification takes repeated wiping and resists fungus.

Where the old film has failed, skip straight to the substrate. Stripped-back plaster that shows white powdery salting needs Alkali Block Primer rather than the standard primer, otherwise the new coat lifts the same way the old one did. Putty over a loose coat is the most common repaint mistake we are called back to correct.

We repaint occupied homes across Madurai, including Anna Nagar, K. Pudur and Tallakulam.

For apartment access, lift rules and society timings, see house painting in Coimbatore.

What’s included

The old coat gets tested

Tape and scrape checks show which walls hold a new coat and which need stripping back.

Repair priced separately

Cracks, spot filling and full-wall levelling appear as their own lines, not one lump sum.

Built around an occupied home

Room order, furniture and drying time are planned around how you actually live.

Cause found before recoating

Damp, salting or movement is identified first, because paint will not hold it back.

Our work

The same room, once the surface underneath is corrected

Camera, furniture and lighting stay fixed, so the visible change is wall repair and repainting alone.

Three things an old coat tells you

Painted wall with peeling and flaking coating lifting away from the surface

Peeling and flaking

The film has let go of the surface. Recoating over it buys a few months at most.

Close view of cracks running through a painted interior wall surface

Cracks

Hairline shrinkage can be filled. A crack that moves will reopen through any finish.

Interior wall showing moisture staining and salt deposits near the base

Patchy damp or salting

White powder or a dark tide line means water is still arriving from somewhere.

Turn the diagnosis into a scope

Each finding gets a line in the quote

You should be able to see which wall needed what. A repaint priced as a single rate per square foot hides the part that decides how long it lasts.

  • Mark the strip-back areas
Record which walls are recoated and which are taken back to a sound base.
  • Separate filling from levelling
Spot repair and full-wall putty are different quantities and different costs.
  • Fix the source before the finish
Agree any damp or civil correction before the coating system is approved.

Recoat, spot-repair or strip back?

The condition of the existing film decides which of these three the wall belongs to.

Living through it

A repaint in an occupied home is a scheduling problem

Room order agreed upfront

Bedrooms and kitchens are sequenced so the household keeps usable rooms throughout.

Furniture plan in writing

What moves out, what shifts to the centre and what stays covered is decided before day one.

Dust kept to the work area

Sanding and scraping zones are sheeted off from the rooms still in use.

Drying time respected

Recoat intervals follow the product label rather than the crew’s schedule.
