Details

Which Royaltec paint thinner should I use?

Use the thinner made for the coating. Royaltec NC Thinner is intended for nitrocellulose-based paints, lacquers and primers. Royaltec Enamel Thinner is intended for oil-based enamels and synthetic primers.

What does NC Thinner do?

NC Thinner is a fast-evaporating solvent blend that supports flow, quick drying and levelling for spray application. It can also clean compatible NC tools and equipment.

What does Enamel Thinner do?

Enamel Thinner improves the flow and brushability of oil-based enamels and synthetic primers. It can also clean compatible brushes, rollers and spray equipment after use.

Why does thinner compatibility matter?

Using an incompatible solvent can affect application and the coating film. Follow the selected product instructions, use only the specified amount, provide ventilation and observe the label’s storage and safety directions.

Which coatings is it matched to?

Enamel Thinner is the one paired with Japan Black Enamel and with synthetic primers.

It is also the thinner used alongside Red Oxide Metal Primer on iron and steel.

Our own crews work to these pairings on metal painting jobs, where the primer and the topcoat have to share a solvent system.

The same applies to the refinishing stage of wood coating and polish.
